Senior Engineering Manager - Infrastructure

Role Mission and Location
The goal of this role is to lead and empower an infrastructure and reliability engineering team, playing a strategic role in scaling and optimizing internal systems. This position is open to a hybrid or fully remote model within Spain, with a physical office located in Madrid.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of SRE engineers, promoting best practices, a culture of collaboration, and career development.
- Drive high-impact technical projects and ensure the scalability, reliability, and quality of systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Analytics, Security, and more.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance check-ins with team members.
- Define and prioritize technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Encourage open-source contributions and continuous improvement across the team.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in people management or technical leadership in complex environments.
Strong background in backend development and working with distributed, robust systems.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Solid understanding of engineering best practices and DevOps culture.
Desirable Requirements
Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana, and GitLab.
Knowledge of distributed systems performance, microservices, and relational/NoSQL databases.
Previous experience with remote or distributed teams.
Background in managing verticals like observability, networking, persistence, or runtime environments.
